    Was there ever a fish landing quay built up the river a bit steve, on the same side that the boats on, last time we were down it was at the planning stages, but not been down that way since.
    pretty sure there's nothing happening.  there were allsorts of plans and ideas put forward for the old battleship wharf and the submarine yard when the power station was demolished, but nothing came of.

    still a few boats land on the old fish quay in the south harbour though

    Nothing in the wind to build anything like that these days - credit crunch/quota's etc. Indeed the plans that were in place for the old Power Station site have come to nothing.

    There is a fish dealer in the South Harbour at Blyth - local boats use it to land their catch.
