was puzzled about the reference to what was obviously a gale until i looked at the date!!! i remember lying watching the rain battering off a window and the wind howling from some direction i had no idea where, feart to move or cough in case the dialysis machine started peeping and feeling freezing cold even tho i had half a dozen blankets, i thought it was because it was the weather and i was supposidly in glasgow which is aye freezin in january, but found oot it was my own cold blood pumping back into the tube in my neck, naw knowing which tube to pish or shit oot of next, the nurse came over and fiddled about, making smalltalk about the gale and how the ferries weren't running or were running(my brother got over from dunoon to see me) i happened to remark that the boats wouldn't be out in this weather, she made the mistake of asking and got the full unabridged version for her pains. seems like a fucking lifetime ago.
