HMCC Vigilant is a state of the art anti-smuggling vessel built at a cost of £4.5 million. Vigilant's patrol area is the South East of England.
St Oswald was built at Hepworths Boatyard on the Humber, England in 2001. Measuring 21metres in length and with a 6metre beam and powered by twin 500kw Caterpillar engines the vessel was built to meet the committee’s needs to ensure compliance with National and EU legislation and local byelaws designed to promote fish stock conservation for the future. For boarding at sea purposes the vessel carries a 6metre RIB stowed in a stern ramp.
