Hold looking Aft Towards Engine Room Crystal Sea BA 104

Kelvin 6 Cylinder up-rated to 210HP from 180Hp at the request of Jim Manson, the Crystal Sea and Silvery Sea  were designed with an extra frame in their mid section 24A & 24B all frames were 18" apart, pushing them over the ticket requirements back then, they had Kelvin 6 cylinder fitted instead of Gardener 8 cylinders.  Both had hydraulic winches which meant they had no drive through the hold, allowing them to carry more in the hold 245 crans.  One of only three boats to have power blocks fitted to try pursing the others being the "New Dawn" the "Westerlea", all of these also had warp tension meters fitted.
All of the above info was kindly given to my Uncle by Nobles in Girvan
