Picture shows my Grandfather on the Mistral ( Ex Vine) in Dumbarton approx 1964/5. She had been grounded at Davaar in the early 60's and was bought to convert by my Father and Grandfather, originally had a K2 in her then changed to a Gardner 5L2 with Cone reverse gearbox. Great old boat, sold in 1976 to London, don't know if she ever got there. She did call into Ayr on the way but that was the last we heard.
