worked aboard this one in 1988.first twin boat i was aboard.wheelhouse and shelter fitted in campbeltown by  john carmichael in 86

i was aboard her in 1983 whilst on a training course at stornoway. she was owned by donny macaskill, where is she now? does any one know?

She was scrapped about 6 or 7 years ago at Macduff. One of my uncles was aboard her too while she was in Stornoway, probably in the 80's maybe?? He was Neil Macaulay.

I saw a photo of the Strathgarry either on this site or on trawlerphotos and she wasn't fishing anymore, she was just laid up on a beach but i don't know if she's still there or not. The Annandale was working out of Ireland up until recently. I'm not sure if she's still fishing or not because there was talk of her getting scrapped.

CHEERS IAIN I HAVE JUST FOUND THE OTHER 2 , I REMEMBER THE STRATHGARRY WAS GREEN, THE ANNANDALE BLUE AND DIANA II WAS DARK BLUE. I DONT SUPPOSE YOU HAVE ANY PICS OF STORNOWAY HARBOUR IN 1983/88 WITH THESE BOATS ON THEM? CAN YOU REMEMBER LACKY WHO WAS ON DIANA? I FISHED SANDEELS WITH THEM IN LOCH ERRIBOL . HOW IS THE FISHING INDUSTRY NOW? I WOULD LOVE TO GET BACK IN TO IT.

Hi DCI i have tried to get your pics but i cant find them. I found a pic of Diana/ Jasper headed Waiting to Die ,i wish i hadnt. I know boats have a life span but you cant help getting attached and fond of them.

morning captcurlers,if you go into my  profile pictures and look to page 4 then you will sea pics of the endeavor at the market in sy(snowing),also there are a couple of other ones with the providence and the alpha in them.there was more but for some reason they are not there anymore.will look out the memory stick(if i can find it!!!) with the pics of the astra and the first comrade on them and along with jacky morrisons annandale and the isabella when derrick got her after she came from the excibition,but before she was totally refitted and put them on.there is also a picture of the paragon and the astronaut,ripple,wave crest,jasper and golden sheaf somewhere to.

CHEERS DCI I WILL HAVE A LOOK, I REMEMBER PROVIDENCE, RIPPLE ,WAVE CREST, ANNANDALE, STRATHGARRY,SILVER CHORD,AND LOADS OF OTHERS, MOST OF THEM HAD GARDENERS IN THEM DIANA II HAD A KELVIN HEAVY ON JUICE IF I REMEMBER RIGHT.GOOD LUMP THOUGH. CAN YOU REMEMBER THAT BIG RED TRAWLER I THINK IT WAS POLAR FISK I NEVER SAW HER MOVE.
