Looks like a Matha and Donna Wheelhouse?
built portavogie 1942 became Gellachad Mills
dave-d are you sure she was built in Portavogie I always thought she was built in Arklow very much the same boat as the I.O.Man company boats Manx Rose ect
found two memtions of her Malcoln Cooks book Fishing in Hartlepool Says Portavogie, Olsens says Arklow
She was built by Tyrell Arklow for Portavogie when she left Portavogie she went to Seaham Pop Noble had her.
she looks very like the lines of a palmer design boat skiboo
No skiboo she's not Palmers she's Arklow built as I'v said before almost the same as the boats Tyrell built for I.O.M Essie Orr had the engine forrit.
Going into Seaham there with the Salmon driving gear aboard,,,,,,,and looks like a very young Dennis Wales on the deck
ringnetman the more I look at her she like the ros boats engine fwd two eyes just aft the stem skiboo
In my experience the Tyrell boats of this vintage had a soft nosed stem (Oriole,Elenor Anetta,Ros Ard, Elizmar etc.)Was this not the onethat had the gear change and throttle up foreward? Nightmare if the one working the engine fell out with the one in the wheelhouse!
