Good stuff - does this give you full headroom down below?
It does indeed Angus, well within reason I can't stand up fully but I'm 6'8" but Bob can walk under the beams and he's 6'2" so its made a huge improvement. We have cut the old old out which has widened the hold and got rid of the small amount of rot we had in those beam ends round the original hold. The wheelhouse will be coming to the front edge of the temp hatch we cut with a curved front so will get heat from the stove down below which will be great in the winter and we'll be able to make a coffee without getting wet doing so.
Makes a lot of sense, especialy in the wonderfull Scottish climate that I left behind me all those years ago.
