mike the first boat out and in again was the amity built in peel. next was the aughvie. shovel herring out of her from dundock bay in 1959.
probley the lifeboat was ahead of all 1955.that the marie de mountford inside the aughvie.
the aigh vie was owned in strangford lough by the ship builders. after giving service to peel and portavogie.
Aigh Via built 1916 by Neakle and Watterson, Peel. She was awarded to the crew of the Wanderer PL11 who rescued the crew of the Lusitannia in 1915 by the ships owners. She was first registered RY40. She later moved to Balbriggan as D79. She is still around.
