SEAHAM HARBOUR LIFEBOAT IN THE NEWLY BUILT LIFEBOAT HOUSE, NOW A VISITOR ATTRACTION.

    Great stuff.
I hope the familys of the men who died on this boats last (Seaham) rescue mission think it's right for it to be put on display
I think its in poor taste, men were lost. kids lost their fathers, I,m more disappointed with the insensitivity of the RNLI taking the decision to put it back in service, what about other men who have served on this lifeboat, around the country. I bet they were not informed the boats jaded past.
Well right or wrong, the fact is she is there now, people have had plenty of time to lodge complaints about it...
never let it be said that bad news and personal suffering be allowed to get in the way of someone somewhere making a few quid.
think she was the only 1 eva put bak in2 service ..sure its the same date 17th november as when jan denise was lost
I'm pretty sure anything uncomplimentry posted on the restoration website was deleted Paul, none of my business like but I don't think that the Jenny M or the cobble Geordie Bailey was skippering being plonked on the end of the fish quay after a paint up would go down well
well said mark, I'm led to believe, now its in the shed it has to pay its own way. it is alleged that  founder members are looking to hand it over to volunteers to run and raise funds, it seems the trough is empty, time will tell how much support  it receives. now these people seem to quote how warmly the people of Seaham feel towards the RNLI. At Penlee lifeboat house it stands empty and has never been entered as a mark of respect to the men who lost their lives. At Seaham the RNLI paid 20 grand to demolish the lifeboat station
