prior to a revarnish.
Slowly Bob, steelwork just about finished for the
deck saloon John and I just canned it at 2000??? Should be decking the roof out this week if the weather holds out

great to see an Alex Noble wheelhouse coming back to life
There doing a good job on the Wheelhouse, also stripping the deck to oil it again. Were taking the " easy" route and building the deck house over most of it??
Good to see work progressing on these boats. They are not all abandoned projects. Will try to call in at the yard on my next trip up in a couple of weeks. Wheelhouse does look good.
Huw
your timberheids have been wearing plastic bags for quite a time now
have you checked any lately to see if they're sweating?

there full of holes on the side to keep it under control Jay but coming off shortly, the cap rails have been cut for weeks just not got round to put em on yet.
Little wonder you haven't gotten around to the cappings given the huge wheelhouse job, etc
The timber heads might be getting whacked off
next year Jay, and getting replaced with stanchions. Jurys still out on that one. Having built the framework to support the saloon roof we reckon we can hold T dances onboard soon and give the Waverly some competition??? Just about to order the gubbins for the deck, will post pics of the split deck and repositioned " funnel" when we close up the hole above the engine and finish the trunking for the exhaust.
