gutting at Port St. Mary breakwater
never been to the prawns myself but ive seen a few boat come into psm with a deck load and you wonder at which point does taling a prawn become tailing plankton, wasn't going asking for a feed anyway! haha
never seen anything except ruskoline at the iom, only good prawns at whitehaven in among the starfish, 2-3 lifts for a couple of baskets of whole.
West side of Colonsay small,Passage rubbish,North side of Staffa shi*e,Port Ellen pingers, they were just the same...mind numbing sitting all day tailing them, but a pound was a pound when all said and done....wasnae hellish many got scutched back ower the side on oor boats...if it had an eye and an ars*hole it was a prisoner lol
as the late johnny giles would say far faster by rail haha
the biggest prawns you would ever come across used to be caught in the forte bar on a Friday night !!!, along wi lifts o haddies , boat loads of herring, thousands of bags of clams and tons o cod !!!!!!!
Only decent prawns I ever saw on the west coast was in loch Fyne and the fairlie sound and that was 46 47 year ago.
Whats happened 2 this site more repeats than de ja veu on the telly.
freddie d, i dont see you posting many pictures, and you could not of fished many places on the west coast if thats the only places you saw decent prawns.........
