No sure if she's still fishing
was this one not Hopeman owned ins worked out of Oban some times.
Aye your right Bryan she was built for Hopeman.
went ashore back davarr light .broke up were she lay ', i think
don't remember any boat going ashore and breaking up at back of davaar light? bit further down towards the mull at the barrels bouy if its the same boat, a friday morning if i remember correctly, they usually were, trying to recall the year? a bit of salvage work was done before she broke her back i think? early 90's?
there was a more recent one that hit the ledge below the light and theres been others that went aground on the dhorlin, all pulled off and safely refloated without much bother, unless the one that went onto the ledge had more damage and the details bypassed me somehow, but i do remember thinking how daft or incompetant do you need to be to hit the ledge which only sticks out about 15yds, tho saying that there are three engines sitting on the ledge last time i was on the island about two years ago, so wouldn't be the first not to look where they are gannon!!!!
