Crabber, up the slip at Mashfords having split trawl winches and net drum fitted for trawling
Crab prices still poor then!?
and bait prices getting ever higher :-)
i take it she still be crabbing through the season then Daz or is he planning to trawl through the summer ?
I think he's planning to be able to do either as and when. Split winches are set up under the A frame and angled to go straight aft onto the hanging blocks, thus no deck rollers. Cutting a shooting door in as per Trevose. The tank will be smaller because of the extra weight, but I think it will be suck it and see !!!
Cheers, quite a bit of work going on again then. See the wheelhouse door has been moved to make room for the drum.
Is she having a small winch too for the cod-end ? I'm assuming there won't be enough space to flip it on the net drum ?
Not much that can be done for much extra power though apart from a nozzle maybe.

Not sure, scotch pole mid ships and swing it in through the gap in the rail possibly. Yep stuck with the Gardner for now, doubt he'll bother with a nozzle
Be interesting to see the setup once its done. She is due to be in the Centenary issue of FN out on the 11th April.
I shall be buying a copy !!!
I could email you the article now but that would spoil it
