I have tried several times to establish some history on this vessel but to no avail. There isn't any registration identification so I presume no longer fishing. Even though she looks well I have never seen her move from the anchorage near the stone jetty. I cannot remember when I first saw her but it must be more than 5 years ago now. I was only able to establish her name by reference a book by Mike Smylie, "Fishing Around Morecambe Bay". There is a chapter about the Crossfields' and their boat yard too.
She,s in the book The Lancashire Nobby by Nick Miller

A friend of mine has commented on Flickr that the Linda was built by Crossfields at Arnside in 1918 and was registered at Lancaster as LR 24. His info is generally reliable and I have no reason to doubt it's accuracy.
thanks for clearing that up Brian. i think i came across her in the mid to late 90s.  and never found any history of her until i found her on eu  fleet register.  then in Nick Millers book.  4hp.Evinrude fitted c.1925
