bad bad bad to find this at nearly 4am on a sunday morning, last time i saw her from that angle was last time i saw her, steaming out the loch for the last time, feel as bad now as i did then, 17 yrs of my life there, i'd forgotten about that old wheelhouse, only pics i have of it are close up family groups on days out before it was replaced in mid 70's, that mast went with it. i'll need to show my son this pic, he doesn't believe me that when i was his age i would be up the forrrat mast hanging on with one leg round each stay, paintbrush in one hand, paint tin in the other, i wasn't painting, just hiding from the truancy officer at high tide while we were cleaning and i was supposed to be in school studying for my O'levels.
