Dutch herring 'loggers' SCH19 Wouter and SCH40 Castor (oil painting on panel 40x30cm)
Very similar to the Radio 270 ship Oceaan 7 ex SCH333,long gone but not forgotten especially in the NE of England.

The Castor was a regular in WY ,late 50's early 60's during the summer drift fishing, she often weekended in the place and another name that always stuck in me memory was a boat called Dr Dirk Donker Kurtius.
Used to watch em lowering the rudder forrard and shooting stern first.
Now and again we would take a hold of their pole end and haul and unbend two or three nets, they were usually as hard as hell and a lot of the herrings used to bounce off em.
