Aye old Fred sold some stuff to the boats in them days.Cant go back as far as 54 but mind him fine in the early 60s.
STARTED THE SEA 1960 THE SAFFRON FRED HAD A BIG GERMAN SHEPHERD REBEL I WAS TERRIFIED OF IT ONLY MIND IT GOING FOR SOMEBODY ONCE A YOBO TRYING TO ROB FRED HE HIGH TAILED IT PRETTY QUICK.FRED HAD MORE STOCK IN THAT OLD SHOP THAN MANY A SHOP MODERN DAYS.TAKE IT WAS ST NINIANS IN 54 YOU WERE ABOARD
Not 54 early 60s before i can remember him i was over the west side quite a bit in the early 60s .Remember the dog to i was always wary about going into the shop when it was sitting in the doorway.Did Ivan have his office nearly next door memory not as good as it used to be.

Aye happy days Willie Johnston usedto come over in the winter when the LHseiners were their he used to have a shed on the pier for his office .

the only bookies I can remember was on the north side paddy evans BUNTYMCRINDLE SILVER FERNS BROTHER IN LAW.HE WAS THERE 1960S DONT KNOW WHO WAS THERE BEFORE HIM FINISHED UP KELVIN HUGHES SHOP DID SANTA BRING YOU A NICE NEW GREEN AND WHITE JERSEY
