    Oh dear
Quite clearly I'm the Mr Horrible of this thread
The fact that this grand old lady is still about is an achievement in itself
And yes, it will never not be a battle matching available funds, time and other resources with ambition
I did see her languishing at Port Penrhyn a few years back and did wonder whether she had a future
It turns out that she does
    Cheers for the moral support!

Given what we started with and what we have now (October 2012), she is a much improved vessel.

The picture above was taken in Feb 2012, following our move from Fleetwood after several bouts of theft and vandalism.

Good to see another Irvin's fishing boat still on the go. My boat Golden View has reverted to her launch name having been called Catriona and Harmony....any thoughts of Fruitful Vine?
Good luck with your project and it would be good to see her at next summers Tarbert Trad Boats.
Jay, I put some info re Anne Marie and Evelyn on the post of AM and May.
    Cheers Brian.

We are new to this, having only been owners since 2009.

I read lots on this website and others that our boat was originally named Fruitful Vine carrying the Peterhead registration PD419.

However, inside the boat, one of the main deck beams has BCK331 carved in to it.  We cannot find a PD419 carved anywhere on her.  The BCK carving looks commesurate with the age of other carvings on the boat, which were bviously marks used during her construction.

I'm curious to know if the BCK331 marking would have been done when she was re-named Robert Scott?  Again, I read this was circa 2003 and the carving is much older than this.
im always happy to see anyone deciding to own and use an old boat like this one, its not easy but worth it in the end i think, so good luck
been saved from the saw,an beauty is in the eye of the beholder.good luck with your boat!!!

I believe the reg no carved into the deck beams only shows the most recent .eg my boat has TT24 A13580 (RS No) not PD184 as was her original reg. also I believe the Shemaron has CN244 carved with no trace of her original BA64.  However I am sure there are many on this site with much more undertanding of this.

Its floating, thats the main thing, good luck wi that, and yes the Bulwarks are what we call in the trade "interesting" but u want a garden fence, not somthing  that can handle wires gettting hauled over em. And its not a deckhouse Jay its a floating bungalow. U gotta love a hull that looks like that no matter what its used for.... beats a chain saw...just wish I had the dosh to save more of em, but hey cant live forever and ones enough.... Mad men live on boats and play with em. Practical men fish em hard and move on....whos right??
