Unusual way to attach stanchions, would have looked better with a base plate bored through new covering boards yacht style, I take it you chainsawed the frameheads at sub deck level?? Im just repairing some of ours at the mo and doing a stepped lamination on the apron and stem head at the bow before we replace some of our bulwarks and replace interior bulkheads
We bought the boat without any frameheads or rubbing strake, hence why we have used the method we have for the new stanchions.
It's far from ideal aesthetically but, it does the job and is practical for what we are using her for.

We're using her for recreational diving and fishing. We're not running trips, just a few days out and weekends away doing our own thing.
More or less what were doing with the Ocean Gem except John and I dont Dive anymore, good luck with her though.
