should have been 15 year ago, surprised its still on the go, mind you think the City was worse
Craig certainly got their money's worth out of this one ... time and time and time again
they tried to put me on the city after I qualified, that was the final straw with north star and Sandy Macleod
i was on the chieftain for 18 month as 2nd, looked after the city to when laid up in dundee. they were both absolutely wrecked then. and that was about 8 years ago
who did you annoy to get 18 month on the chieftan
They were happy ships the old one no bull shit
I certainly had some entertaining times aboard the north star fleet, the Sword, Monarch and likes, met some gret guys a long the way but some of it was wing and prayer stuff
Sure a lot of the older guys will be away by now , remember Ali Balli, Coddie Doddie, Arthur Rutherford( excuse the spellings), certainly put me in good stead for emergency running repairs

rember when all these were laid up in dundee the harbour was choc o block with them must have been laid up 3-4 years, should have took some pics back then, same when they were cutting up decommissioned boats in the dry dock itwas like a boat graveyard
