Strathdoon, Wanderer and Dawn Watch, ex Saint Ninian in Ayr early 70s.
3 cracking 40 footers,the inside one's from an equally well renowned yard..."Herdies".
all just slightly different ,but all of them capable of doing the job.
Dawn Watch even has a spare net on top of the wheelhouse.
you couldn`t put todays hopper gear up there.

dawn watch came back to port seton for a short spell
Dawn Watch was a plank higher than most of Millers other 40 footers.
mebey just looks worse alongside the Wanderer which is higher than normal in the stem ,with the forward cabin, compared to Dawn Watch having an aft cabin.
also if you see the pictures of the Diamond ex Dauntless. now in shields she has had her toprails heightened, the originals were fairly low.

wanderer looks to have a near verical stem post where the millers boat has a forward rake
just the angle of the picture mack rill.
Wanderer had a fine rake on her stem.
she was just like a condensed version of 50 foot version of noble`s ringer.
her sister-ship Seeker was identical to her too.
in the days when they could build rule beaters and still keep looks.

looking at the picture, the miller`s boat looks like she could of done being a foot higher in the stem.
