Whats happened to the Heroine that was Dunure owned (The Edgars I think)-she was gettin a big conversion done at Eyemouth a few year back to a live-aboard cruiser with new aluminium deckhouse etc?
the Heroine.
instead of a new deckhouse, they put a block of flats on .
something that would of done a deepsea trawler.
think they are locked in deep discussions about it at the moment.

heroine was owned by jim munro troon, looked to be a tidy enough conversion in the making.
have you seen the finished result??
pics on here .
take 3ft off the height of wheelhouse look better.
shades of Budding Rose, new wheelhouse.

was aboard for a look, all done properly with stability calculations etc, no your run of the mill "caravan conversions " which adorne harbours all over the uk.
Why all the negativity some people are spending thousands on restoring old fishing boats to keep memories alive .Surely they can be forgiven for some of the structures they put on them to suit there own personal use .I think they should be congradulated The old wooden box could be a very lonely and boring place to be in yrs gone by .
not so much negativity, as just not what used to seeing as in proportion with the boat.
its certainly better they are being restored, than chopped.
and as you say its for their comfort,
