Moyallon SH 24

Moyallon SH 24

entering Bridlington

    Bonny boat though.
Was this one a Nobles of Girvan build??
if you look close at the stem you will see the trademark thistle emblem there.
    built 1985. noble`s of girvan.
    11.9 mtrs. netter/potter gardner engine.
Seem to remember she was built for the West side, a Lad and his Wife were going to work her with gill nets, got approval for
everything and paid a fortune for nets and then after the Lad was ready to start they changed the sodding rules and he could'nt oshore wi the
nets in her, ruined him, the bastards.!!
I think the story went something like that, I know there is no bloody justice.
Yer correct Bob , it was the mono rules that done it , he wasnt allowed to run the 12 miles inshore or heading out with them
i remember reading about that must hiv been aroond 20 years ago it was in all the scottish papers
That was and is aFUKN scandal. . . . but look at the easties that built the boats for the deepwater and got shafted over track record reference years .... not ten years after this debacle if I remember rightly! My considered  post pub opinion is that this also is a pile o shite. Maybe he should try again............ wi VMS then he could prove he wisnae efter ridfish!!  Lovely nobles boat ...but as the aul yins wid say .."are yi paintin her this year......!!!?
