an hours work
Was working at a net down at East Pier in Tarbert, what a team of anglers there whipping in the Makerel, going away with bin bags, must have been feeding families in Glasgow, all nationalitys in fact a minature makerel war broke out between the Pakistani's and Bangladeshies when the lines crossed neither side was for giving in ended up good old fist fight, the boys from Liverpool were egging them on, what an eyeopener and not a Fishery Officer in sight to record the landings..
hahaha, dont think you'd see that down here, and luckily enough i come in later than knocking off time for Fishery Officers. saying that, i'm gonna have every Fishery officer on the island waiting for me at my mooring. i had 2 boxes this evening 1 for bait and 1 for smoking.
Cam are you seeing any appearance of herring bet theres a few round about the Niarbyl. Tell your Granda I'm sending my regaurds.
Hi Willie we shot the seine net on Port Erin beach, all we had was about a dozen of them, very good backs on them though, and one of the skippers of one of the lobster boats shot a gill net on gansey beach and he had a few herring but it was mostly mackerel, shitys and callig
Cam there're about when you're getting them like that.
theres plenty of frey about, the callig and mackerel are stuffed with them
