When did the big broad white water line go oot a fashion? And was there a practical reason or jist a gradual phase oot?
the broad white water line started to dissappear after the boats changed from sail to motor.it took a few years.like the picture here some of the old
timers kept the broader line till late 1950s early 1960s.but by the mid 1960s the broad line had more or less gone. no practical reason for it.

Whos the skiff alongside the Bluebell .Is it the Fragrant before she was re wheelhoused by any chance?
its the Star of Hope. LH.264.
Couldnt read the reg but that was also the Fragrants number
open to correction on Star of Hope number.

Just double checked over on the other site,and the Star of Hope's number is 260
