This is the model that lived in the Free Kirk at the bottom of the High Street, AH. The church had it's last service on the Sunday and for some unknown reason the model fell off the shelf on the Monday smashing into a pew down below. I have her for repair, wash and brush up before she finds a place in the proposed Transport Museum scheduled for Dundee.
that was a strange thing to happen Will, the model was built by my good late freind Ed Smith .he built a good few models of the Arbroath boats.
Hi Bryan. Yes it was an event that spooked quite a few at the 'fit o' the toon'. I believe that some of Ed's boats found their way into the signal tower museum. I was there recently. Sad that it has gone the same way as the other museums. More space for the masses to stand around looking at less exhibits. Sad that they made so much space for the masses (that don't turn up) that there's a lot less space for exhibits. Madness. I think if you wanna see a lot more stuff then you gotta get a tour of the store.
