Couldna be bothered filling the bath so took her up the club for a leak and ballast test. There's half a pound more weight in the stern than she'll have in operational condition and she's bone dry inside so I am very happy.

Yeah, it is frightening, Jay. It's like a double kick though when she has the name 'LOYAL' Friend. It's like taking the dog for it's last trip to the vet's.
Silver Birch will no be like that for long though.

Hi Alan. She's 22.5 inches (45ft in 1:24 scale). Produced from a rescaled 1:20 scale (freebie) drawing by James Pottinger. You can see her on p69 of J pottinger's book 'Fishing boats of Scotland'.
Been cutting the deck frames and carcass for the wheelhouse/galley today. Also drilled out and fitted the rudder tube, so marching on.
