Those were the days, now its night !!!!
One or two codling being caught of the back of the rocks by anglers here John, maybe a wee bit of a recovery showing. Sad thing is if there were one or two on the ground no one will be allowed to catch them.

One of the few things oot the sea that I aye found totally tasteless was cod roe.Tried haddy, hake, and whiting roe to see if they were any better...just the same, none of them did anything for me I'm afraid.
hes well rigged for night fishing. there johntar.
he has two sets of towing lights there.
the green and white lantern forward.
the three white triangle shape aft,top one not in view aft.
must of been around the time of changeover to the green and white.
tasteless, cod roe, thats blasphemy......young ronnie.
my teeths are watering thinking of it.

ochone ochone YR, uncle willie tar used to smoke them at this time of year when they were still firm, never ever tasted a delicacy like it, big alexander and smokie wid eat them to a band playing,
Only thing that gies me the boaks is salt herring even the smell of them cooking, ever tried the buckie whelks? did once down in Jersey and was surprised how sweet they were, 2 was enough all the same, not as cheugh as the limpets which are pretty tasteless with out the garlic butter.
Pierman, think the pic is when Andy Munro had Lorwin
