Well, I just get carried away when I get an idea. I've loosely based it on the old AFA slip at Arbroath which is now McKay's.
So this evening I got out my box of plastic extrusions. Been thinking about a slipway trolley for a while and thought, if for no other reason what a reasonable way to display a boat.
The longitudinal pieces are 7mm channel section, the transverse pieces are 10mm x 5mm "I" beams and the diagonals are 7mm x 6mm "H" beams.
There are 12 support blocks 24mm x 12mm x 12mm dyed with oak stain mounted in large 16mm channel sections spaced between the transverse beams. I'm gonna have my work cut out with making brackets for 52 wheels which will run on redundant brass "1" gauge rail. Shouldn't take too long; just having a break from planking.
