I'm happier with this hull more than the others. Probably down to the gathering experience although wooden cruiser sterns are a pig. A chunky little sucker, she has had her first coarse sanding prior to fine sanding and filling with P38 (easy-sand) filler. The P38 is excellent as it is about the same hardness as the wood therefore it won't "ridge".
One of these days I'm gonna get me some larch for hull planking as I would like to see and build a model with varnished larch.
This build is not to be confused with the later transom sterned Silver Birch FR 39.
