    Swivel, Served my time with Douglas Snr when he was aboard with my old fella, taught me how to cook, splice and mend. Canny man, showed the old boy some good wee shots 5/6 coil at seine net for flukes and lemons. His fingers were mangled from working at the Kelvins, the wee shake did'nt help, half a mug of tea was order of the day, asked him once if he took a dram, said he spilled most of it if wisnae in big glass.

    Aye,Auld Jock could sure could tell some baurs about his time aboard the King Duck.When the old man was staying in Rothesay,we went up to the fishing show in Glasgow with Jock and Ian and he never stopped yarning fae the time we got in the car tae the time we got oot again lol I could have sat for hours listening to him,had us in stitches at times wi' some o' the ploys they got up tae.He was a great raconteur and a very enjoyable journey it was! Funny enough,I'm the only one left oot o' that carload(but I was young at the time!!) O0
    Dont think the King Duck had a tumble-home stern one I remember had a curved transom.

    We very near run the wee mannie wi' the red flag doon a coupla times on the wey there that day GW,he wasnae walking fast enough O0
