    The Northesk (John James's Thorntree) lying against the pier.
    The coble over to the right in the background is, I think the Resolution. WY.7
    The salmon coble under the ringers bilge ,I cannot remember her name but was the last one built at Whitehall, but belonged to Bobo Harland.
    The drifter at the end of the Fish Pier would be fanned up, this was a favoured spot to clear the screw.
    I see the bridge and funnel of a bigger drifter alongside the quay, thought at first it was the Betty Leslie, but this is a more modern looking bridge, I thought maybe a YH or LT man
    Is the ringer a scottish boat? (LH reg?) or did the locals try the ringing? I heard that after being outfished for years on the west coast that the easties tried the ring out of PD or The Broch but the north sea swell was too much. Anyway they certainly got there own back in the clyde and the minch !....and some!

    Ronnie, think it was Robert Brown who had her when she was named North Esk............. spoke wi him a few times just before he died.
