    Was this boat based in Dunure and the predecessor to the Fairlie built Golden West of 48?

    Owned by McCrindle Bros, Maidens then Alex Rodger, Maidens.
    Sold to Wick about 1938 WK 396
    Sold to Lerwick about 1945 LK 458...........still going in 1971.

    It was quite new at that time for a small motor boat like this to have a wheelhouse at all. These boats with their canoe sterns and wheelhouses from new were revolutionary in their day.

    by the time you got a skipper and a wheel in there wont of been room for much else. then again in those days i dont suppose there was much available
    Was BA62 owned by MacCrindle brothers Maidens Sold to Shetland  from Wick  Did not return to Wick after WW2 war service as skipper had died during this period At one time fitted with a 36HP Gardner semi Diesel
    Wheelhoose contents - probably wheel! compass? skipper an pipe(lit!) nae xbox then it wisnae invetit tae 1932! PS3!!!

    My wee box on the Dawn Pearl is about this size, nae room for unwelcome visitors and when she is jumping about you just lean to oneside of the house and then over to the other - no need to hold on.
