Aye aye Willie, brings back memories that picture, 1967 we arrived Wednesday night 3 boats about 8 rings at night and tore one net mended her up all morning and were going for sleep when all the Auchies were heading out so we followed.
Robert Ross in the Dalriada shot off Munlochy and the net was dry with the ends aboard, 6 boats round net brailing with a flotilla waiting for their quota, estimate from the worthies was that 1,000 cran was taken out of her and one hellish sarach getting rid of what was left in her.
Best or worst of it was we were supposedly told we could back catch our quota for week but when it came to land them for chappies it was a no-no, got our canal expenses and rest went to some charity, Auchies wernae flavour of the month in TT that weekend!
After that the only quotas given away were to the drifters, , Accumulator used to take our quota aboard on a Thursday to let us away early, braw easy fishing had a fleet of drifters following us till we left for home 6 or 7 weeks later.
    Happy days
