Margaret Lawson KY12 by Jim Stormonth
Home port -- Pittenweem
Stunning do you have any further information about the picture or indeed the boat??
The painting is by Jim Stormonth and presented to Tom Lawson in recognition of his commitment to Pittenweem whilst serving on Town Council then the Community Council. The Margaret Lawson belonged to his Grandfather, I will try and get some history for you.
Came across the following record from 1937 :-
On the morning of February 3rd, the Pittenweem fishing boat "Margaret Lawson " ran ashore at the Billowness Bathing Pond in dense fog. The crew of which Mr Thomas Lawson ( Hughes ) was skipper were all taken off. One of the last of the old type of fishing vessels belonging to Pittenweem, the " Margaret Lawson " was badly holed and became a total wreck.

Absolutely fantastic painting and interesting story. Googled Billowness which is just to the west of Anst'er. Learn something every day.
looks as if she would have given the SWAN a good race
