Excellent photie of the sheds, but if my memory serves me correctly, I think they were called cabins. Back in the distant days of the big sprat fishings there in 19 72 19 76 , I got to know a few of the the couble fishermen there, and on some of the many days that we could not get to sea for the gale force E S E wind, I used to visit good friends that I got to know, in their cabin when they were making their pots or creels.. I was lucky enough to get a trip out one day on the couble MARGARET KERR , when they were shooting cod nets. I can still smell the creosote from the big yard where all the wood was stored , mingled with the smell of the carpet in the cellar bar of the GWENTLAND HOTEL,..happy days indeed. :-
Spent many a day in the cabin on Sunderland old north dock in the winter, knitting pot covers etc.etc. great times good crack. Stove was that bloody hot you couldn't get within 5 feet of it. Thank the sea coal for that. :-
