A Tiree Shoreline

A Tiree Shoreline

Another quick splash with the watercolours - 'splash' being the operative word, as I don't find it an easy medium!  This effort shows a stretch of shore at Caolas, Tiree, on the western edge of the Sound of Gunna.  The cottage used to be owned by Hugh and Colin MacFadyen, who were cottars and fishermen.  We used to moor our boat where the while launch is anchored (to the right).  Our croft land goes down to the rough shore in front of the cottage, and its southern boundary fence is just visible in the painting.

Many thanks, Gary, Earlsferry and Blue Oyster!  I am surprised that it 'worked', as I don't have much faith in my ability to produced seascapes or landscapes.  :- Your mind words are a great encouragement.   Best wishes, Donald.
