Nice clear photo Ed. From your description it looks like she is laying off the wall of the old ballast pond. A sorry end for the old girl :-

This is my Dad's photo, and I think he has quite an archive of Plymouth boats, particularly around the Barbican in the 1980s. I'll see if I can get him to let me post some more of them.
