Still in good nick after 30 years on Trundling around the world, my home on and off for the last 5 years
Never have carpet in an engine room, when the boss got her she was in a bad way lay in america with no one bothering their arse with it. Had a massive refit in Pendennis in Falmouth got her back up to standard.
Yeah white paint shows all the little leaks, which maybe on CAT's is a bad thing as that is all they do

Now that's what you call a clean engine room..Dan McPhail would be proud of you !! I can remember being gobsmacked at seeing a 132 K6 Kelvin in the old Oban/Lismore ferry(a 65ft.MFV)which was painted white, and was actually quite clean looking. That must have been around 1967 as there were a few Dunbar boats through that year, and several of us were down having a look at this rarity.
a `clean`k kelvin? -i always thought they came out of the factory grimy! one skipper that had one here reckoned cleaning one was like painting the forth rail bridge-once you were finished it was time to start again!
good job Jammy's no ur second Barry or it would be different...... and good to see no all of your fathers rubbed off on you
aye well no comment about my dad, got the shouting bit mind you, lol, but Jammy now thats a completely different story, has a bad infection of sexy fingers does Mr Jack. Picks a spanner up and his knuckles start bleeding without attempting to use it, I apologise i used the word spanner meant stilson
Nicely kept by the looks of things - my Chief Engineer (on the Princess Anne) was firm believer in keep everywhere in the engine room freshly painted then at least you can spot the leaks easily
Also good to see that your engine room isn't carpeted like some modern day Trawlers
