BEVERLEY ANN BCK190, ON THE BEACH AT WHITLEY BAY AFTER RUNNING AGROUND.
In the late 70's the PZ registered Kilsyth went aground around here somewhere., must have been close by.
It was South Shields beach
What was the reason for the tripod foremast being put on"back to front"?
they had to chop her foremast down to get through the dti
mnrli,,,,,,, Are you saying that this picture is at South Shields ?. as the Kilsyth was aground around Holywell Dene area , I have pictures I took at the time I'll post when I get round to finding them they are also posted on the other site.
definately south shields she run aground dave. was the kilsyth the trawler being towed north for scrap would have been mid 70's . came ashore right in front of the cafe . same place as the la moralaye went aground years later
