Annabel - WK92

Annabel - WK92 seen here in the Port of Sunderland during the late 1970s or early 1980s.

WORKED FROM SD FROM EARLY 70S RIGHT THROUGH THE 80S.
FIRST OWNED BY BILLY AVERRY IN THE 70S, THEN BY BARRY OWENS WHO NOW HAS GOLDEN LILY  BH 115.
Thanks for the information - I think I was down in Sunderland that day for the launch of a super tanker which didn't go ahead owing to high winds  :)

    Regards

    Steve E.
The Annabel BRD was built for the Beaton's Kyle built Macduff 1946 Donnie Gillies and his brother's had her they were nephew's of the Beaton's neeboured the Mary Ann for a short time she was not very old when they sold her to Wick and bought the St Clair from Girvan changed her name to KatarynBRD.
Think she was in Orkney for a short period before going to Thurso reg.WK92 worked the seine-net.
Benloyal. all I can remember she went north bonny varnished she was'nt old when she was sold north. bad boat to trim, she had to be trimmed from forit to aft. some one put a bigger wheelhouse on her she was a well built boat.
I remember being told the wheelhouse put aboard the Annabel was originally on the Enterprise WK229 built by Alexanders of Wick  Her number before she went to Thurso was K816
She was built for ringnetting the men that had her did'nt go to any thing else, they did'nt have her very long when he asked Jimmy Noble to build him another boat but before J/Noble got her finished they bought the St-Clair from Girvan and cancelled the one from J/Noble, sold the ANNABELL  north, they were up there along with the best at the ringnet.
