This is not the val dave,boat was called calypso owned by a welsh lad called david worked at vaux with alfie simlar shape to the val but gunnels not as wide.

Hi,Bob just dont put a wheelhouse on ,we had both the dodger and wheelhouse on endurance and i still prefer dodgers.Its suppirsing how much water the dodger keeps out and they can always be dropped or but to oneside if need be.
i think the blue transom sterm boat 3rd frm the left is the ross renown bought frm bollcows of blyth off a ross trawler in the late 70s early 80s was dropped in at blyth then was towed to the ouseburn by the molly where it remained for a number of years could be wrong though it has been known. :- :-
