    Aye Frankie,they not only had some bonny looking boats the Lossie men,they kept them well too.There were some fine like vessels working out of Oban when we first came here...all consigned to the dustbin of history now,more's the pity.

    is this the same mannie that had the green shelter decked aquarius that worked out of oban? a good freen of DCI paterson's old man davie leggie, if so i remember her from her infrequent trips into CN, my old fla was aquaint wae him too!!!!

    You've got me there now.I've searched what little brains I've got but I cannae mind of a green shelter on any of Cyril's boats.Nae coakynut for me the day !!

    Hi Ronnie You are right shelter decks  were a painted white how are you still catching prawns   I still remember the happy days working out of Oban and Campbeltown and all of the many friends I made
    I still keep in touch with Cecil Finn He hisna changed ony still has a good laugh
    This is a great website it is fairly building up in the short time it has been going
    regards to all Cyril

    I was speaking to Jim Campbell recently and got an update on some of the comings and goings Cyril and he was telling me you were still to the fore.Good to know that and to hear from you...aye ye cannae beat the pre-war material that they made fishermen oot o'...it was guid quality stuff !!
