Girl Jean lighting

Girl Jean lighting

Very difficult taking this type of picture without using flash. There are four deck lights all attached to the outside of the superstructure; one on each corner. Navigation lights on the wheelhouse and a solitary white atop the mizzen. I can't make out any others from the photos in my possession. There is also a light in the wheelhouse and one in the galley. The latter are on the navigation light circuit while there is a separate circuit for the deck lights. The light switches are both in the fish hold. The equipment in the wheelhouse consists of an echo sounder, engine control panel, radio and a clock (with radio silence indicator times). A stove for the galley is next and I'm sure I'll notice other things as I go along.

Will definately not enough detail in the wheelhouse,( only joking) fantastic
Wow Will, it looks as though you could just step in there and take her away from the quay.
Absolutely fabulous, you keep lifting the bar higher and higher.
    Best Wishes

    Thanks Bob,
I think I just get carried away.  I now have a skipper who with much surgery I managed to get in behind the wheel. Once he was in I realised just how cramped these old wheelhouses were, unlike the luxuries of the modern day.   So now I can close the wheelhouse up. I'm in the middle of making the galley stove at present. I was gonna put a light bulb in it to represent the fire but then pulled back from silliness gone mad. I know nothing about the original stove so I'm making a slightly smaller one than that in the Fisheries museum which I use for reference.  The Anst'er museum is great for information and exhibits and each visit answers a lot of my queries.
