nice pic, was there another minerva before this at pittenweem ?
wuwwie morris no longer with us used to love the yarns he would tell you he once told me if you dont like someone give them a boat never a truer word said
Ther was a 'Minerva ' came to Carradale in 1963 --KY ? bought by the Ram ( Colin Campbell o Waterfoot ) I believe she was the last boat through the Forth an Clyde canal before it was closed -- wan hell o a trip through Glasgow constantlly lifting scrap ( cars an such like ) tae make progress -- the focstle hatch was moved to the other side to let her ring net ower here .
No Rad Its if you love someone buy them a boat if you hate them buy them 2 c&&ts
The more I think about it,this is the original ky 305 minerva,in this pic painted blue was always black and with a different wheelhouse.
This wheelhouse was put on the Minerva by McKays in Arbroath in the late seventies
Ended her days as Shalona AH42 Joe Milne had her, she had seen better days when she came to Arbroath.
the boat out in the firth is davie, the lion, gardners shalona ky 232 :-
