Just been doin a bit at a time and apologies for not doin daily blog. This view is of the foredeck showing the borrowed Miller winch/coiler from Bruces. Tackle blocks in place on the lowered mainmast and gilson. I understand the top rails were usually oak but mahogany more abundant and it does provide a good contrast.
that is a bonnie looking model you are doing a real fine job
Thanks Barra.
One word. Fantastic.
Wish we could get our top rails looking as well, well done.

Thanks but they're far from perfect, Bob. The sections are not jointed the same way as I'm not sure I could do as good a job without a lot of scrappage and time spent gettin it right.
That winch is amazing, never mind the boat itself..the green is a perfect shade, the weathering spot on,the mix of brown rust and red primer showing through is brilliantly done...I lift my hat to you Will
Thanks Ronnie for your comments. Your endorsement is just what's required as I didn't go to sea mysel. Been weathering many other types of models but boats is relatively new and all I have otherwise are my childhood memories. Just as well I don't rely on yesterday's memories as I canna remember a damn thing. Lol.
Cheers Kid.
