Marie herring fishing south of Pladda
Fine set of photos Sylvestor
beautiful boat how big
Cracker of a boat, great colour.
alaska,,,, altellya, built 1963 girvan, 17.9mtrs. or 59ft.
thanks 1 last question was the square frame for bringing the doors aboard before gallows wore fitted
im not quite sure what you mean???
she has gallows fitted in the picture.
the high square frame above the wheelhouse,is called goalposts but would not be used for lifting trawl boards in with.
that frame could be used for lifting the codend aboard with,
but at this fishing for herring its being used to work a net sensor theres a small derrick fitted to it for the purpose,
some of the herring men might explain it better.
