ive always liked those little whitby double enders theres just summat about them,ideal for gettin in tight for blueys
He micht be towing his dahn preparing to shoot awa again, but if no, he better watch and nae tak that rope hees trailing in to his fan if he goes astern...
Might be wrong but maybe its a safety rope attached to the rudder for when lifted off the pintels
thats what it is norman a lot of double enders and cobles round here have that
You are spot on Alaska, we always had a rudder rope on the cobles in WY and that was the first thing I did with Morning Star as soon as I put her afloat.
We never left the rudder on when we were hauling pots and sometimes it would wash off her arse, and occasionally fly up when we tapped a stone!!!!!
