In the big years at the sprat fishing at Blyth 19 71 19 78 I was in Blyth a few winters, and the strange thing was, that the Buckie boats were there at the same time at the prawns AMETHYST KAI ORA MANNA HALL MARK RELENTLESS, etc and the strange thing was, in all our social adventuresashore, .....in the interests of research.... we hardly ever met any of the Buckie men, but of course we fully understood they were staunch abstainers, and were probably tucked up safe in their bunks aboard their boats
